Burj Dubai

The supertall skyscraper in Dubai, UAE is almost built! It is predicted to be completed in late 2008. After built it will be declared to be the tallest man-made structure in the world. It is located at the "First Interchange" along the Sheikh Zayed Road at Doha Street.

The tower's architect is Adrian Smith who worked with Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM) until 2006.

The total budget for the Burj Dubai project is about $4.1 billion and for the entire new "Downtown Dubai", $20 billion.

It surpassed the CN Tower in September 2007 to become the tallest free-standing structure on land in the world. Surpassed the height of Taipei 101 in July 2007, will earn the official title of world's tallest building upon completion. It has more floors than any other structure in history.

The official height and floors has not yet been released.
